Get picked up by old travel companion...we met in Capadocia, Turkey January 2000. Two months later, I spot Stephen in a cinema-queue (I guess TV-queue is more correct) in Dharamsala, India (home of Dalai Lama)...he had then been back home for a wedding and then went back on the road by flying into India...while I had travelled through Turkey, Iran and Pakistan .... amazing,hu?

The day after, we went hiking up to Wheel Peak at 4000 meters altitude. Strong winds ...great to feel alive.
Stephen is flying in the wind...
Freezing winds at 4000 meters altitude ...but I had Stephens high-tech gear....
Stephen back at the treeline... the frostbites goes away... burgers are waiting at 3000 meters... |
